Regulator terminals.

Finally getting around to taking off the regulator block on Hebe (I did an alternator conversion last summer) and I'm planning to replace the fuse box and regulator with a brand, spanking new fuse box.

At the moment I've got wires attached to A and A1 (from the alternator conversion I remember that A and A1 are just acting as joining spades for the two pairs of wires on them respectively,) but can anyone remember what the E is for? I'm presuming "earth', but didn't want to take the thing off without checking.

I could look in my manual, but then it IS the book of lies;)

Secondly, if anyone wants my old fusebox and/or regulator, gimme a P.M. The fusebox even still has its cover!

Thirdly, any suggestions as to how to wire up the washer pump I've got for the windscreen? I'm planning on using a DP Push-to-make switch so that I can set the wipers off at the same time as washing the screen. I was initially worried about the timing (you have to keep the switch closed long enough for the wipers to reach the top of the screen otherwise they'll stop and not self-park) but I'm guessing that I'll just have to keep the switch closed for that second or so

Are you going for the modern fuse box withe "spade" connectors? It would seem to me to be the way to go and does look neat under the bonnet. I shall be interested to hear what's said!

Yup, I've got a six-terminal spade block which only cost me a few quid from Millards so I'm getting rid of that fussy old box. It's let me down once or twice on the motorway when the fuse has moved and it needs a jolly good clean.

As I'm planning more electrical goodness I figured that it's going to be better to put a nice modern one on ;)

I wonder how many people will get upset eh? Then again, Hebe's not exactly concours ;P

To translate: A very fine autofactor based in Bristol who's sign still proclaims that they service dynamos (although, I fear, they don't any more). Who also, when I go in and ask for mog parts sell me the bits I want and usually, but not always, have them in stock.

It's dead nice

And the chaps there seem dead friendly.
