Hi Paul
Try keeping to 40mph. But most importantly change down to prevent any strain on engine.
In one week check torque of cyl. head bolts/nuts and adjust valve clearances. Drain oil and filter at 500 miles,again check for torque and all auxcillaries ( wheres the spell-checker?). V belt tension, ign.timing-etc; Slowly increase top speed in increments of 5mph. To 800-1,000 miles.
It pays in the long term to gently,gently attitude.........Cheers......Ivor

ta for the advice, still to get the timming right ! as for piutting a sign in the rear window saying running in...Na never go above 30MPH and only use it in town. anyone who wants to overtake me can do! I belive ppl see a slow car and get anoyed cause of the driver,they see a slow moggie and say hey the car aint that quick anyways, cannot be the driver so dont hassle me.
