Sorry for not understanding existing threads to this theme.
Both Milly's new and old engine's oil pressure relief valves are damaged. I will fit a new one. But how will I adjust it then? Actually there is no oil fog in the valve cover room (if these are the right words).
Thanks, Frank

Re: Renewing oil pressure relief valve
Is it the release valve seat or the release valve (Pt No: 1G1452(BMC)) that is damaged?
If the release valve seat is damaged - unless you can lap the release valve to the seat you will have to find a new block as the valve seat is no longer available.
The oil pressure relief valve pressure is not adjustable and relies on the release valve spring (Pt No: 6K853(BMC)) to control oil pressure.
If there is no oil reaching the rockers make sure that the number one rocker shaft pillar is drilled for the transfer of oil from the head to the rocker shaft..
When the later rocker shaft is fitted No: 2 pillar is used for the rocker shaft locating peg (Pt No: 2A258(BMC)) and No:1 pillar has to be drilled or a already drilled pillar fitted.
