1/2 a degree toe in or 3/32" each side is the setting I have on mine.

3/32" is the total toe in - not 3/32" each side.

Reference: Minor Wksp Man Section J7. Fig J6.

Thanks guys

That's the figure (3/32" or 2.5mm) I've got in my manual, too.

But that was compiled in the days of crossply tyres, so I wondered if the setting should be different for radial tyres?

I have had cross ply and radial tyres on my Minor and the toe in of 3/32" has still been utilised.
I am not aware nor has it been brought to my attention that the toe in is different when using radial tyres.

Those BMC cars that utilised front wheel drive have a toe out setting.

It all depends if the wheels are being driven or driving , front wheel cars ( driving ) tend to toe-in ( therefore set at toe-out ) , rear wheel cars ( driven ) tend to toe-out ( therefore set at toe-in ) ..

or at least that was what i was told.

John
You are absolutely correct in your post above.

Whatever the setting stated in the makers manual the only real test of the wheel alignment is to observe the wear on the tyres and adjust as necessary as each cars suspension and steering is individual and peculiar to that car.
