Trim

Post by firedrake1942 »

I am in the process of re trimming the rear inside wheel arches on y 4 door with vinyl and before I take the old stuff off I wondered if anyone had a template / measurements for the piece of vinyl that goes over the arches and under the arch follower ? These bits. (not the arch follower)

I would use your old ones as a template. In any case, once the 'arch follower' and rear seat is removed, you can see what needs to be covered and can make a template out of paper. Remember these trim bits are handed! You don't want one that only fits upside down! 8)

I was going to do that but slightly loth to take originals off, they have an additional pad under the vinyl, instead I was going to lightly glue the new one around the edges on top of the old. Mine are very similar to the red ones below, and although discoloured and lightly ripped in places do still match the interior. They are , after all also secured by the back seat base and squab swell as the 'arch followers' and I want to be able to go back if the woolies vinyl is too much of a mis- match for my obsessive little bonce to bear.

I am tempted by these on fleabay tho as they are the best I have seen!
