Morning all!
My 12G940, 1098 has a HIF38 fitted. Currently I have done NOTHING to tune the airflow of the carb as per Vizard, i.e. smooth entry to carb mouth. The vacuum offtake to manifold pokes into it which must disrupt flow, nor have I port matched so there is probably a step from manifold to head.
Is it worth bothering, or does the larger carb cover the engines maximum potential anyway? I could spend a while getting more airflow, but I won't bother if the engine can't handle it!
Cheers,
Edd

Edd
I would suggest that it is worth doing the extra work mentioned if for nothing more than getting it right.
I doubt that it will increase the air flow by any percentage but every little helps.
