Van rear spring fittings.

Post by surfergirl »

Sorry to go over old ground, but wanted to be sure for safety sake!
Im fitting a saloon rear axle to the van, and have found there is a difference in the fitting brackets from saloon to van. So do I need the rubber packing pieces ( 2 per axle) and the plates in the photo ?

The lcv axle is located using the steel plates as your original set up should have been, the axles are the same.
No rubber or thin plates.

The heavy metal plates are attached to top and bottom of the spring, held together with a special bolt, the shock absorber bracket is fitted to the bottom plate and the top plate locates on the axle bracket, the U bolts hold it all together.
