The Flasher switch

Post by GLT819C »

:D For the last few months I have had a problem with the indicator lights. At first it looked like the interior repeater light was not working all the time.
So I tried fitting a new bulb, still no joy.
Next I fitted a replacement flasher unit, partial success. This was due to replacing the connectors which were corroded and / or lose.
The repeater light worked better turning right than left, so was livable with.
At this stage I was looking into replacing the flasher switch, but as this was priced at £60+, I decided to have another look at the connections.
Both side light flasher units were corroded, so I ordered replacements.
These duly arrived and were fitted. The repeater light now works fine.

The moral of the story is:
when dealing with electrical problems. Check the earths.
