Re: Any pictures of any customs members have started building
The complete car was £250,which gave me the 75k miles 2.0 Zetec engine and ABS unit, just fitting the disc brake conversion and servo at the moment and am stockpiling the type 9 gearbox ( will shorten by 4" ) and Escort back axle....just wondered about the diff ratio...the Quaife ATB is attached to a 3.77 diff and think for modern city traffic this may be a bit tall ?
Keeping the induction system as stock as I want to keep the low down torque, as for the exhaust maniford, ditto, doesn't look too pretty but it was free and keeps a single 2.5" exhaust pipe leaving the engine bay
Who needs stainless four into one manifolds...you don't drive with the bonnet open.
Have lots of photos but don't wan to clog up the Forum, any in particular you're after?

Yes,as having a 2.0 zetec, servo and skinny tyres, (plus the fact that I'm too old to do Cadence braking ),means that decent braking is a must...have had it on my Lotus Elan Plus2 for years...and it works a treat, recovered from the donor Focus ( was searching for the ECU for ages until I discovered it is in the pump housing ) and it's plumbed in at the moment but not wired yet

At the wheel end ?
I am going to castellate ( 44 ) the rim of the disc and the rim of the brake drum and mount the sensors as best I can , other than that basic wiring and plumbing....anytime over 8mph and the brakes are applied it monitors the rotational speed of each wheel,if any appear to have locked it interrupts the pressure to that wheel..
Simples

Suggest you may wish to visit the Morris Minor Owners website, Modified Section as this website appears to cater slightly more for the Modified Minors.
As for a V8 Minor and under the Extreme Modified Section, look at My Minors Part 1.
Might satisfy your urge...

Re: Any pictures of any customs members have started building
So is the ABS ECU independent of the engine ECU? Ie is it viable to use the Focus ABS bits independently of the Ford engine?Sleeper wrote:Yes,as having a 2.0 zetec, servo and skinny tyres, (plus the fact that I'm too old to do Cadence braking ),means that decent braking is a must...have had it on my Lotus Elan Plus2 for years...and it works a treat, recovered from the donor Focus ( was searching for the ECU for ages until I discovered it is in the pump housing ) and it's plumbed in at the moment but not wired yet
