Flare Nut Size?

Post by MichaelBeckNZ »

Hi

What are the types/sizes of flare nuts used on the Minor? Specifically the master cylinder line. Will be buying some spanners so would like to get the correct ones.

For the male nuts use a 7/16" A/F flange nut spanner and the female nuts use a 9/16" A/F flange nut spanner.

Always use a proper flange nut spanner of the types in the links below.

Get the best you can and make sure that the sides that clamp the nuts are deep i.e. 9.5mm (Williams Superslim UNI78).

I have only ever had call to use for a 7/16" A/F x 1/2" A/F flange nut spanner and a 1/2" A/F x 9/16" A/F open ended spanner for attending to Minor brakes.
