Temp gauge fluctuating

Post by Motojohn »

Hi people, just fitted the electrical temp gauge to the moggy from a mini as per the instructions on this forum I found and it seems like the gauge is fluctuating up and down when running?
I connected to the fuel tank gauge wire as it says to do but the needle was all over the place with the engine running?
Any thoughts please before I go bonkers

Regards
John

You need to wire it into the voltage regulator at the
back of the fuel gauge to get at stable live feed to it .

Hi folks, when wired to voltage regulation device the gauge fluctuations with the 10 volt regulated power, I wired it to the other side and it works fine now.
The fluctuating was driving me bonkers off the fuel gauge terminal
