I'm rebuilding my rear brakes and wondering whether to use Lockheed cylinders or pattern parts.
Comments I've seen on this forum seem to suggest that pattern front cylinders soon leak, but that pattern rears are OK.
I tend to think you get what you pay for, but I'd be interested to hear of others' experiences regarding genuine vs pattern rear cylinders.
And if pattern cylinders are OK, which supplier keeps the best ones?
Thanks all.

Sometime there is no choice with parts but if reputable items are available, it doesn't make sense to settle for less, especially with brakes.

Use Lockheed. The pattern ones tend to need "adjustment" to make them fit.

Just to upset things, I've found the rears are fine and fit just as well (or badly?) as the new 'OEM' ones, which I believe may now differ form the earlier Lockheed ones? No issues with the quality as there is with the pattern front cylinders, which i would not use. I've personally used the pattern rears on at least two of my cars.

I too have used pattern ones on the rear with no problems, I did though assemble them with red rubber grease, (as advised by Bmceccosse)
