Oil in rear drum

I have had my car on its side . Could the axle oil have run out into the drum or is it a dodgy seal ?

More than likely - the final drive should have been drained first.....

Thanks , I thought so . I will clean it up and fit new shoes each side , it's a pity the shoes were ok .
