I have informed the seller that it can't be sold - but I can't see how to 'report' it to ebay? Used to be obvious - but don't see a route now - can an item only be 'reported' once ?

It's a button halfway down the page just under the bit that says "People who viewed this item also viewed" on the right of the page.

Thanks! Found it - tiny print at the RH lower corner. I have reported it - I wonder how much notice they take of these 'reports' ? I urge a few more to 'pile on' - this sort of nonsense must be stopped.

I thought the reg number was fairly clear even with my poor eyesight!
ETD 480E isn't it? That is issued to a White Minor 1000 registered in 26/07/1967 and was taxed & MOT'd until 2011
I can't really read the chassis no.

One can only assume that ebay couldn't give a fig - after all, they've got their listing fee :-? ........

The DVLA used to check such adverts and place a marker against such registrations to prevent future fraud but I'm not sure if they're particularly bothered either?

Since laptop U/S, only have mobile 'phone which doesn't display full screen.

Regn since added to "Logbook only"(LBO) listings.

Thanks MM

THese places that do HPi checks should really be aware of this, i think if i was buying a car and it showed up in its history that it was sold as a V5 and chassis number at some point i would avoid it.

Generally pick up a LBO/rf60/v5 "Duff" by repro chassis plates. In this case - where chassis plate also supplied - other identifying numbers/year dating features are usually available to fall back on.

Well its good that people can spot small details to work out more of the history, both my minors have all the correcr plates and numbers stamped in the bulk heads, i did go to buy a minor that had a vin plate but had no number stamped in the bulkhead and the number by the tax disc on the bulk head had been removed so i walked away, maybe there was a genuine reason for the missing bits but i prefer to be cautious. I did post this asking about the extra numbers starting BME but i think it just means where it was made.

How would you register this is you purchased it? That has to be an eye opener to the DVLA, is there no department to deal with guide lines?

As you would normally, fill in the new keeper's details on the V5 and send it to DVLA.

Doesn't even have to be a 2dr, have seen a saloon ID on a van. Granted,I DO take a lot of flak for being obsessed with ID issues, but I do think it's important!

And it' s STILL there despite various 'reports' - but hasn't sold... Perhaps MMOC should buy these up and destroy them ? Or do they not give a damn either?? :o
