discussed many times, but not yet found the right answer, so excuse me to ask again...
I mounted the mirror like I was thinking it should be, and actually it sits quite stable, and visibility backwards is much improved (only having wing mirrors).
But...I can't wind the window all to the top, because of the bracket in the window channel (see pic). It does comes up, but wich much effort, and I don't want to stress the window mechanism....
Any other options ?
Thanks in advance ![frame][/frame]

You will need to place the bracket on the other side of the widow channel felt, even then you may need to pull the glass in by hand slightly to avoid the bracket as you wind the window up .

Put it on the glass of the small quaterlight window? Not ideal but it works.

Oh really, the bracket should be over the felt, instead of behind ?...not thought of that yet, ill try today !
uh, i tried it too, to put it on the glass of the quarter light...but seems to be a bit vulnerable, and also; i'm using the quarter light very often, wich makes the mirror not very effctive....
Thanks for the suggestions !

Frankly, I found that the best way to deal with the clip-on mirror on my own Minor was to throw it in the bin and buy (for about £15) a proper mirror which bolts through the the triangular section forward of the quarterlight. A BIG improvement!.

I'll second that ManyMinors. Have a look at my previous link, Daniel.

I have one each side and find them very useful but each to it's own. Mine are clamped "under" the felt and have stayed on and work fine over the last eight years.

I can testify to the soundness of ManyMinors comment...I've just done exactly the same!ManyMinors wrote:Frankly, I found that the best way to deal with the clip-on mirror on my own Minor was to throw it in the bin and buy (for about £15) a proper mirror which bolts through the the triangular section forward of the quarterlight.
