Thermostat check

Post by Chazbee »

I'm going to check which thermostat is fitted to my 1968 engine however I see that the metal heater return pipe is in the way. It is secured to two brackets which are themselves bolted under cylinder head nuts. Will it be OK to undo these nuts and then just torque them down again. I think they should have been fastened with a double nut but I'll have to work with what I,ve got!

Just wanted to know what's in! Won't be a problem to get undone - it all looks shiny and new!
