Go to the minifinity forum and read the rules, I find them downright rude. It all started when I thought I'd offer a crank for sale, it appears that one needs to have 50 or so posts though. That's fair enough, not that I agree, as it could be at the expense of someone obtaining parts from anyone coming across bits they no longer want, yet not frequenting the site but that's their particular rules, so no problem. It's the bit, amongst others, that threatens removal and banning if certain things are not to the liking of the 'bosses' with the addition of saying we might not give a reason! How's that for aggressive language?

Re: Forums
That sounds like a forum to stay away from Les, I won't even bother to go and have a look

Re: Forums
The 2 morris minor forums, maestro and montego and landrovernet have always been great forums for me. Ukcampsite I didn't like as I was asked to upload my pictures of the tent and camp setup spent a while doing it and they deleted it cause I uploaded the pictures a different way they didn't like. Iv never posted like that since.
Re: Forums
This site too will remove/ban anyone posting 'not to the Bosses liking' - just ask Jono. And actually (except in Jono's case) I think it works very well. I like the 50 posts rule - stops the 'traders' coming on with crazy ' catch the mug ' prices. I'm sure a request to a Mod on the other forum will allow a genuine car/part(s) posting to made inside the 50 posts ruling.

Re: Forums
If you read the conditions, I still say they come across as rude and pig headed, there are ways to suggest a procedure without resorting to sounding nasty.
Re: Forums
Maybe so - I don't go on very often. But I have met a few of the Scottish lads on that forum -and all great guys !

Been using the landyzone forum a bit lately. Some real animals on there, makes us all look a bit genteel.

Yeah its fairly friendly tho, they just get upset with repeating themselves all the time. Lro forum feels abit posh for me.SteveClem wrote:Been using the landyzone forum a bit lately. Some real animals on there, makes us all look a bit genteel.
Re: Forums
Before this topic drifts off on a tangent ----- this has nothing to do with members who do the posting but the guy or guys running the set up, that saw fit to print their 'rules' in such an abrasive manner.

Re: Forums
The thing I detest is Clubs/Registers who insist you join BEFORE answering questions/providing help.
Chap I know had to join before Club would supply contact details of a guy with relevant parts sought - as it turned out parts were from a different model - poor chap down £25, still looking for missing items and receiving a years worth of mags he has no interest in!

Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
