Good evening members
Advice please. I am almost at the point of getting the engine & gearbox back in after extensive restoration.
What is the best approach? Do I fit the gearbox first and then install the engine, or is it better to mate the two together on the bench and then install as one unit. I do have access to a hydraulic hoist so weight isn't necessarily a problems.
Your views on both methods would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ty

Re: Installing engine and gearbox
I've always found it easier when engine and gearbox are bolted together - especially if the front panel is off the car.
