colour identification

I need to identify the colour of my 1953 morris minor it should be empire green but not sure it is I need to get touch up paint do any of you know who can supply samples to compare as may be almond green

1952-6 will be Empire Green

Unless it's been resprayed with a different but similar colour during the last 60 years :wink:

Nice looking car - looks like Almond green to me..... You could invest in a touch up to try it out. I very much doubt you will get an Empire green touch up anyway... Some places (some Hellfrauds used to do it...) mix paint to a sample - may be the way to go if Almond is not right.

A lot of '50s Empire green cars have been resprayed Almond Green because Empire looks a bit like a faded Almond Green, so your car could have been painted the wrong colour in the past. Having said that the pic does look more like Empire Green than Almond and any paint shop should be able to mix up some of that. Actually for best touch ups, a lot of paint shops have a scanner that can scan existing paint and match up exactly to that. Also they will be able to tell if the scanned 'recipe' is the same as an existing colour code.

As the owner of an Empire Green Series MM I agree that is the correct colour.
