It does then sound like seized up kingpins/trunnions. The only to find out of course is to pop the track rod end off and feel for yourself how easily it swivels - it should be very easy! BTW -are you using the correct 145 tyres - and are they at decent pressure ~ 28 psi ?

I'll jack the car up this week and take a look at at the kingpins/ trunnions and see how easily the steering is.

I've got the Bridgestone 145s off of ESM which are inflated to 30 psi.
