Infra-red thermometer in Lidl

Post by MikeNash »

Saw today in Andover Lidl the above for £14.99. In case you're not familiar with them you point them at the surface to be measured and they determine its temperature by the strength of the infra-red radiation they receive. So you don't have to touch or connect anything to that surface. They're quite accurate and a useful aid if you're mechanically minded. And good fun around the house, pointing at the cat, sky, grandchildren, etc or anything else. Its range is (from memory) - 50C to about 350C.
Regards, MikeN.

PS I didn't check but most of these things have an integral laser to spot the centre of your target.

I bought one of these last time round and although it doesn't get frequent use it is very useful when I do use it.
I always remove the batteries 'just in case' when I have finished!
