Road Wheel Colour

Hi all

Can anyone tell me when the changeover from Old English White wheels to Silver took place?

I have a 1971 van, and wondered if these should be silver, and also is there two shades of silver? If so which one would be correct for this vehicle?

Van road wheels were always silver as far as I know, so no changeover point. (different on the cars though). I wouldn't think that all were the SAME silver any more than all green engines were the same green. I don't think it really mattered to anyone then They probably just ordered "silver" or "green".

I think your right. I doubt anyone got a serious bollocking if it was a couple of Pantone shades lighter or darker
