Revive the North Wales branch!

Post by Chris Williams »

Hello,
My name is Chris Williams and I have bought my first Morris Minor at the age of 23,and on a recent trip to my local specialist (Dave Hartley) we discussed the possibility of reviving the North Wales branch.I know there are many minors in North Wales and a few must belong to the Owners Club.
I would be happy to be the secretary for the branch and organise monthly meets and trips to rallies, road runs etc if there is enough interest. If there are any North Wales owners on the forum please contact me either by replying on this post or feel free to ring me on 07788376977.

Many reguards,Chris

I hope you get a good response. I think it is amazing someone of twenty-three is so passionate with the Morris Minor, a model out of production for more than forty years. My youngest daughter is 24 (today!) and refuses to be seen in the Morris saying she would rather walk "than go in that thing!"
Good luck with the North Wales branch.

Thank you viewsonic1!I get a similar response off friends with lines like 'When are you dropping a v8 into it,have you found any recaro seats yet? What alloys are going on it?' But the only upgrade I'll be doing is she hasn't been converted for unleaded fuel so that's a job for winter.I own a 1961 4 door in Yukon grey reg HSB 189 (pictures to follow) and only needs a couple of minor jobs.It has receipts for new chrome e.g bonnet hinges and they are already in a poor state (has anybody else had this problem?) As far as the branch goes I have spoke to a couple of members and there's a positive response so far so I look forward to see you at events, hopefully as a new branch!
