iv just purchased a morris minor pick up im 20 years old and its my first classic, iv been told i can fit disc brakes to it. Does any one know if this is possible and have any info?

There's a few threads on this... the general consensus is that the best kits are from JLH. But that's of course personal opinions and there are other ones available :)

it depends if u want new(£350 ish) or sencond hand set(£150 ish)..they work off old marina discs and ford calipers..i no a few sites but its easy to fit im 17 and me and my dad fitted some to my mums because they coem with parts to adapt them..

The best thing you can do for 'info' is join the owners club. Just the magazine alone will show you most iof the upgrade parts you can get, how much they cost and where you can get them from - and the mag is only a small part of what the club does.

I've not seen a set that does - only all Ford or all Marina, doesn't mean they aren't out there though. They're dead easy to fit, involving a new hub, backplate and disc caliper & bracket* (which can mean re-drilling the mounting holes in the kingpin), then mounting a remote fluid resevoir in the engine bay.
Congratulations on the Pick-up - they're for the elite of Morry owners... :-?

*It's handy to fit a disc too. :oops:

only all Ford or all Marina,
I think that is what he meant to say - Marina Parts or Ford parts
