door locks

Post by ndevans »

Evening.

Has anyone removed the door lock on the passenger side? You have to remove the locking lever-the little lever on the inside of the door that you use to lock it from the inside. Mine will not budge. The pin has already been removed.

Any ideas?

Plus gas. Careful use of heat. If all else fails, break the lever off and then extract the remains once you can get the the lock assembly on the bench.

The pin is spring loaded and you push it in to release the lever, if the pin has pulled out maybe the spring has popped out and is holding the lever in place. There's also another type of lever with an external spring clip holding it in place, could it be this type?
