Early Series II convertible on eBay

Post by gtt1951 »

Very nice looking 1954 car with "gold" dashboard, but with "face-lift" front Grille.
Didn't think this happened until 1955 - see
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1954-Morris-M ... 163566585?
Am I wrong?
Also, pictures are not detailed enough to show if there is an LBM present.
I didn't post this on "cars for sale", as that thread cannot be replied to.
Regards, George.

You are right but this is typical of many Series 11 cars which have been updated over the years.
Although the seller claims it to be "very original" it has had the later front fitted. the later engine, all four later (fibreglass) wings and has lost its original registration number so it wont be one for the "purists" but if the seller is realistic in his valuation and the car is sound structurally it will be a great little fun car for somebody and give many more years of good service :) .

It does look very smart in the photographs!

It will have the "LBM" feature because every Series 11 has that  .
