Steady on Trab - the car is clearly and consistently pre October 1954 (although I claim no expertise here), but as there is no clear advantage in mis-describing its age it is always possible that an honest mistake has been made. The vendor has owned it for 25 years, after all, not a quick buck merchant. The use of the term "ringer" implies criminal activity. Actually looks a really interesting early car, particularly at the current price - shame I haven't the room!

VNB reg number is a 1957 series one, but the car appears to be ohv 1953-4. Could have had a rare early reg transfer, and had a replacement number, or could be a re-reg import, or maybe an ex military issue,...............or then again it could be .....

Oh dear - sounds like a difficult situation for the new owner and the vendor, who we have to assume bought it in good faith in 1990.
