Bracket on A-pillar

Post by Declan_Burns »

Bracket on sill??
Does anybody recognise this bracket welded to the A-pillar on a 1959 minor traveller. A chap over here who is doing a resto asked me what this is for but I have never seen such a bracket and don't know what it for or was it standard. Any thoughts?

It is a "stop" for the front wing and holds the front wing in position.

Yes the wing just sits against it, they are usually rusted off with just the remains of the spot welds in place! On a couple of cars I have added a big self tapper to do the same job

Too many Minors so little time.....
