Flasher unit

Hi I need a bit of help, my car is a 58 model with working semaphores & indicators. The three pin flasher unit was replaced as it was VERY slow, however the new unit flashes fast as if a bulb has gone, if I swap them around it is back to slow. I have looked at wiring diagrams & they show three wires but I only seem to have two. Just to clarify that this model has the horn push on the end of the indicator stalk. Any advice appreciated.

Does your semaphores blink in time with the flashers and is there only one flasher unit fitted?

Ive added indicators onto my car and Ive used 2 flasher unit, one for each side. This means that the semaphore isnt trying to flash, because everytime it does the power is stopping to the semaphore.

Thanks for the reply, it only has one flasher unit but the semaphores & indicators have separate switches

Follow the wiring diagram and you can just use the original switch. Trafficators work better if they are used regularly

Okay thank you, I do tend to use the semaphores more than the indicators, just for the fun of it to see peoples reactions
