restoration

Post by lencot76 »

The restoration is coming on slowly but the majority of the work seems to be done. The only problem I have ,is when I connect the battery without anything being" on" then a meter shows that there is a slight current leak.So somewhere I have a short.I did notice this when I started the restoration ,as the battery would go flat when I left the car ,again with nothing switched on.I used to be the the electronics industry,so I can at least check it through myself. But Having some knowledge I also know how difficult it can be to find such a " short "Len

First off - remove the two fuses - does it still leak? If you have an alternator - disconnect that - does it leak? Does it have a wireless , or an alarm - they often draw a small current.. All you can do is to keep disconnecting till the leak stops!
