Why bother with the pump when you assure us the carb bowl is always full?? Try to work logically....

The electronic ignition systems I have used have all retained the rotor arm - they just replace the points with a Hall sensor - so it could well be that the rotor arm was and is still fitted. If so, worth changing it!

Yes,I think the one I removed had a rotor arm,so will check the garage for one. Not cutting out now,just cough,and a potential back fire under load. Will get there.

It's a pump Roy,but not as we know it. Someone suggested the pump not giving it all,so,checked the pump. Cutting out now eliminated. Bowl was always half full,I guess there is room for float displacement.

Thanks Les,struggling. Minors are great and simple,but sometimes a bit frustrating.

Finally,after binning the silicon plug leads,and replacing them with copper ones,job done ! Thanks to all for your input. Cleaning the petrol pump points made a big difference. Athens next week,another problem to overcome. 8)

Well done... although why it stopped after 10 minutes due too that eludes me.....

Neither do I Roy,but,I did hear Silicon leads,when hot,may play up.!
