Iceland
Hello everyone, this is my first post here! Anyway last Wednesday I set off from home in my 1965 traveller, Ernest, to catch a ferry from the top of Denmark to Iceland, where I shall be for a month. The ferry leaves tomorrow morning and I've managed to make it to the port! 1300 miles - to the channel tunnel to Bruges on day 1, to Emmen on day 2, Kiel on day 3, Arhus on day 4 and then yesterday a lovely drive up the Danish coast to Hirtshals, whence I shall depart tomorrow. I left a spare day for breakdowns but luckily it was not needed - the only problem was the starter motor sticking on once, but that seemed to fix itself. Oh, and my Ford type 9 gearbox lost a litre of oil in the first 500 miles... Strangely though it only lost about 150ml in the 250 miles after that when it had been filled up. Anyway no pictures for now but when in Iceland I shall update this as and when Internet allows, if you are interested!
