Front end measurement

Post by glake »

Can anyone tell me the hub-to-hub measurement for a 1958ish front end? (brake drum-to-brake drum)

If you sit the car squarely, level and in the straight position, jack the front and remove the wheels, you should be able to drop a vertical string, or spirit level from the hubs which can be transfered to the ground for measuring. Depending on what you're up to you may have to allow for camber.

Well the track is 50.3" so I assume thats centreline with the tyres, if I am incorrect someone will soon say.
