Not turning over
Hi - have been using my 1964 Morris for my daily commute to work with no problems. Parked up the other evening as usual and the following morning there was absolutely no noise at all when pulling starter. Presumably something has come unattached but nothing obvious when looking at engine. Any suggestions?

A booster battery is handy for these odd emergencies. Makes you popular at the local car show as well because there's always one or two that don't want to go home without a fight.

Thanks all. Not battery as lights still working and no luck with booster. Will attemp to start with handle at weekend.

See other starter pull switch thread for ideas
Re: Not turning over
But do the lights go very dim when you pull the starter ? All the usual checks for stuck starter - rock in top gear/or turn the square on end of starter. If it's free - jump with lead direct from battery to starter - make sure NOT in gear, and probably best with Ign off initially at least to see if it works !
