Due to our impending house move, Bertie may soon be losing his garage so I need to make sure he is well prepared for winter(!) so when better to sort this than during a heat-wave? Whenever I am doing a job on one corner, I usually check the underside and remove any old underseal and paint over with Waxoyl but never seem to get round to injecting box sections. I don't have a compressor and the hand applicators don't seem effective enough so I lashed out on 2 Bilt Hamber aerosols at nearly £40 delivered and wondered where to start. Thought about drilling holes, rubber grommets etc but decided to take off the sill covers to test the effectiveness. I was quite impressed with the coverage (even my shirt and face) and then noticed the drain holes in the box sections and set to. In less than an hour I have completed the 'chassis' box sections and with very little mess so am quite pleased. There is still a quantity left to go inside the A and B posts and the front cross member is still to do. Any thing I have missed or advice on completing the job?[frame][/frame]
I do have one tip, insert the end, press and work away from the entry point. Working your way back from the furthest point means that the jet emerges and can surprise you! Obvious really, but...

If you take the gearbox cover off you should be able to reach to the front of the chassis legs.

If you lift the back seat you can also get into the side of the sill there, there should be a couple of small holes already. Also go in from the back of the boot into the chasis legs. Take out one of the bottom door bolts and spay a little in there too and if your really keen, take out the middle bolt one the front wing at the A pillar and scoot some in there as it a favourite rust spot!

A pump up garden sprayer would do a fair enough job. The waxoyl can be thinned with white spirit and warmed in a bucket of hot water -and yes as you say - a good warm day helps. Make sure the drain holes are left free.....

hi john,inside the door bottoms and if its a saloon the boot lid inside the bottom edge, i also have used the dynex s50 and it seems to be a great product,graham
