oil/temperature gauge fitting help

Can anyone help me work out how to fit this as I'm a complete novice. I brought this gauge but it only seems to have a fitting for the water temp and no oil,,I'm not sure if something is missing or do I need to buy something else or use what's all ready in the car somehow??
any help would be great.

Rhys, can you get a better close-up picture of the brass fitting, on the back of the instrument as seen in the 2nd picture.
Oil pressure is normally registered using a copper pipe that the engine oil travels into - the brass fitting could be where such a pipe is connected, but I can't tell from the picture angle.

Looking at the water connection you may also need an adaptor, unless there is one supplied with the gauge, cant find a link to the one I got but I'll keep looking.

Panky, the adaptor for the cylinder head is already fitted to the gauge, the op may need another adaptor if it's not the correct size though.

Thanks for the help I did think I needed to buy a extra adaptor for the water connection do you know what size I need,,I'll get the copper pipe ordered tomorrow. Everyday is a school day at the moment for me

Although the gauge I fitted isn't a lovely Smiths it seems to have the same male end as the one Rhys's. The temperature bulb is a little long and contacts the inside of the block before the thread can engage, the adapter I fitted is the same thread inner and outer but gives a bit of extra length.

Pretty sure this is the one I got but cant find it in my eBay history(must have got it elsewhere ) if anyone knows different please shout.
The 5/8" UNF one, not sure if you will need a flat or tapered set one.

Nice gauge, in Fareinheight. For the younger owners freezing point is 32 deg, boiling point is 212 deg. Later gauges were in deg C and after that all you got was H M C.
The tube for the oil pressure gauge is usually plastic. A standard length of tube for a Smiths gauge will fit. You will also need a T piece adapter so that you can also reconnect the oil pressure warning light
There should be a double ended male thread adapter which screws in to the cylinder head and a cap on the capillary tube which screws on to the adapter.
Take care when handling the capillary tube, it is fragile and if you break it you will ruin an expensive gauge

I kinked the plastic one that came with my gauge feeding it through the bulkhead, didn't trust it after that and got the copper one. There's a little too much length on the one I got so plenty of coils to absorb vibration.
Rhys's gauge has got a male end on the water side so he will need a male/female adapter I think.

A plastic pipe is fine as long as it's fitted properly with no kinks or sharp bends that might cause kinks. After my experience of knackering a plastic one up (very easily) I decided to go for the copper. If you do go for copper then make sure there is enough tubing to form a coil to absorb engine movement and vibration.
I think the MGB pipe Richard posted the link for might be a bit short as its designed to go to a T piece on the bulkhead rather than on the engine, but if anyone has used them I'll stand corrected.

As above - tale EXTREME care with the water capillary. It most not kink and any excess length must be neatly coiled up and strapped to something solid.
