Lower Wishbone Fixings - Wishbone Fork Washer

Post by spike_esq »

Hoping you can help. Please forgive my description of the fixings and component we require.

On the lower wishbone there are two sets of holes for fixings. We are interested in the wishbone folk which connects to the tie rod. On the wishbone folk assembly there is an item described as a "washer". To me it is more like a small rectangular metal spacer piece with a hole in the centre. Well whichever we need one these "washers" and I wanted to know how best to describe to the membership to see if someone had one available for sale. Welcome your feedback. Regards, spike

I suspect that the washer you are referring is Washer (Pt No: ACA5279 (MOSS)) which fits between Fork tie rod (Pt No: AAA2082 (MOSS))to lower arm and the lower arm (Pt No: ACA4001(thin) (MOSS)).
This washer was fitted at the time of the change over from a screw type top trunnion to a rubber bushed top trunnion and must be included if your car has the rubber bush top trunnion.
The washer is rectangular as you describe and not round as shown in the MOSS parts catalogue.
A washer is easily manufactured from 6mm plate and these are the measurements.

Length...............................36mm
Height...............................20mm
Washer thickness..................6mm
Dia of hole through centre.......12.5mm/13mm[frame]Image[/frame]
