Is there a parts reference list which brings together the different part indentification of the 8/9/10G*** the, 22A*** and 22G***
for example 10G150 is the same as 22A287 and 22G83, or so it seems. Moss for example uses 22A and 22G numbers and ESM and BM use 8/9/10G numbers.

Re: Parts Numbers
There are a multitude of part numbers for the same part and as you say dependent upon what and where you source the parts.
Unless all use the original BMC parts numbers list there will be no correlation of part numbers. Unfortunately many of those part numbers contained in the BMC parts list are not used by the current range of suppliers. Therefore you will have to use the relative part number given to it by the individual parts supplier.
Currently I tend to use the MOSS parts list for identifying parts/parts number in my posts - but as I get parts from a wide range of suppliers I use the suppliers part number.
Sometimes it is easier to go with the flow than bang my head against the wall.

Thanks Phil, I must admit I too use Moss for numbers but other suppliers are sometimes more competitive

Re: Parts Numbers
If you are interested, I have compiled a list of number cross references to include 8G***, 9G***, 10G*** and BMC numbers. Only got as far as the gearboxes as yet as I am in the middle of rebuilding and converting a ribbed, its a long job, the cross referencing that is

Whilst I am happy to be proven wrong - the cross referencing of part numbers I do feel is a bit of a pointless exercise because if you want parts you have to order against the suppliers part number.
Where it would prove valuable and I am sure it would be - if there was an extra column where a part/part number from a similar vehicle can be adapted (for a common or not so common conversion) to fit the Minor or other vehicle of interest.
For example:- changing the original Minor timing chain set up to either a simplex or duplex arrangement.
For example - Simplex set up:-
Chain..................3H2127
Gear Cam.............12G4337
Gear crank............8G725
Pad.....................12G2621
Plate...................12G2628
Pin......................12G2629
Timing cover..........12G2623 / CAM4868 / LJR10168 (these covers have the bulge to accommodate the chain tensioner pad)

Re: Parts Numbers
Phil you are probably right but I found it usefull as there are lots of parts in the 803/948/1098 gearbox which are are compatible, and I have a selection of all three.

Now that is a useful exercise cross referencing what parts can be utilised on a Minor gearbox conversion and that is the sort of list that I was referring to in my post above and can be made good use of.
Note in one of my spares list and which lists some genuine BMC part numbers and the suppliers own part numbers.
'Illustrations, specifications and reference numbers in this list should be treated as a guide only.'
So unless you have access to a genuine BMC parts catalogue with chassis numbers relative to the part/part number and vice versa and the parts supplier is fully willing to use those BMC part numbers only it is very much of a hit and miss affair using the usual suppliers parts catalogues - but that does not stop me from procuring the appropriate spares from them using the suppliers parts list and part numbers.

Re: Parts Numbers
Phil, I dont have access to a BMC parts list so all I can do is use the suppliers like ESM, BM and Moss and cross reference the part they supply.
e.g. 8G183/9G181/10G175/2A3298 all the same part, 2nd Gear bush so it can be used in all the gearboxes. I find that quite usefull.
