What is the best pump?

Post by jcbrobot »

Hi,

I have a facet pump fitted, but am looking to change to a new pump. What is the best pump for a 67 1000 Saloon? Is a (Genuine S.U.) Standard Type With Points best or Electronic best, if so which one?

thanks

Standard points SU is designed for the job. They tend to last 40 years or so.....should be enough...

I've had both types and found the S.U. standard points version far more reliable!

I bought a new one recently: http://sucarb.co.uk/su-fuel-pumps-spare ... -kits.html

Very pleased. Hopefully that's that job done until 2055...

It would be good to be around and revisit the problem then... I'd be about 105!
