recommended welder in Romsey :)

Post by MoggyBlue »

I feel we should have a pinned thread so we can list our recommended and not so recommended welding company's(each separate threads)

I had an extremely good company my moggy went to for some welding to get her through her mot

This is the first time I'd ever gone to a company of such so was a little eary but well after 2 days of work she was finished
I went to inspect and a lot of work had been done and all done over my expectations
This is just a few bits of work done
before

After (I just need to sand down and paint) the under side and inner arch was also repaired but just can't get all that great of a picture of them :S

Before - on the rear chassis member where the spring shackle bolts to

[frame]Image[/frame]

After - he cut it all out and pretty much made a new rear leg and reinforced it all properly[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

And last of all with pictures I have is the rear spring hanger this was it before welding was an mot fail and alot of rust around it and also he found there was a lot under it to

And this was after[frame]Image[/frame]
There was a few other things that were done and was at an extremely good price will definitely be going back to get my drivers door sorted when I have the money and time
I would highly recommend this company

Thanks for the info....My local Minor man has retired (SGM Minors in Fordingbridge) so its good to know of another. I have had a lot of work done on my car by Bodytech at Dinton, Wiltshire. Rob there is ex Charlie Ware so has loads of Minor experience. They did a floor pan and chassis leg for me last year and very well too. Not particularly cheap but I was more interested in having it done properly.

As regards Bodytech - do not forget their open day on the 28th of this month , see latest Minor Matters 'New Advertiser', page 6 for details.

If you are in the area - the Fovant Badges which are just over the hill at Fovant are well worth a viewing.

This is the collection of memorabilia linked to the Fovant badges that was/is on display at the Pembroke Arms, Fovant. The collection may still be there but will be checked out (as well as the beer) on the 28th post visit to Bodytech :D

Yes, thanks for the reminder. We are supposed to be going from the TVME club to the open day but I have to work so can't be there....

Fovant is indeed well worth a visit and it has a handy layby for when you miss the Dinton turn off!
