Post by lencot76 »

Hello I have started the restoration of a Morris 1000 4 door .The passenger door is very rotten and I have managed to find a replacement, but the chrome on the replacement door is poor. How do I remove the chrome frame and glass ,so I can swap the frames over . :-?

Remove the trim panel and strip it all down! If you don't have a workshop manual - Google for 'Morris Minor Workshop manual' and you will find a free download...

This frame isn't "chrome" but should be stainless steel. You may have a window frame that was a "painted" metal one and then modified.
Do you have a picture of the item in question?
