trying to ID early beige code 1957 van

Hi just wondering if anyone knows the code for ' Beige ' its on a 1957 van. (not my old green workmobile in the photo )
Ive checked the chassis code and the first reg log book etc and it just states Beige ....but when I find bits of the original-like inside the inner dash etc... it looks more like rose taupe or a grey

What colour are the inner B posts?

BMC listed a colour simply called "Beige" for the Morris 1/4ton van and the Series Z van in the 1950s. Manufacturers code was BG8. I'm not sure just what years this was used though.
"Sandy Beige" (BG3) was also used on the Series 2 Minors so this is perhaps another alternative?
These are the only beige colours I can find reference to.
Rose Taupe is a later colour - introduced in 1961

2. Thanks ...I will check out that code . Its not the sandy beige , its much more grey . ....so the BG8 may be the one ....

Vans were often supplied in primer for painting in company colours. Best bet is to get it colour matched

Just want to say the colour "Beige" was only used up until Febuary '55 (early cheese-grater commercials).

My van was finished in primer and on the inside of the B-post where the cab attaches to the back a very dull grey can just be seen, I assume it's some of the original paint.

Clarendon grey was another colour, but that's got blue in it.

Just thinking then , ....would those issued in primer - be classed as 'Grey' on the first log book.
I got copies of the original documents from dvla and the first one states the colour as Beige..........but it does look just like a primer or Grey when I find original paint .
