put on ebay but no luck , ,jonathon they poke out 4" past the wing at the rear, nearly that at front but only a few mm away from upright, i would use em on the rear ,but cant find tyres that size in 13" ,only trackday ones, seeya boys
I'm wondering about trying to fit wheels that have a 100mm PCD. Because although theoretically they wont fit, 4" is 101.6mm. So the difference is 1.6mm, but as there are 4 wheels studs each wheel stud has to deal with only 0.4mm of difference!!! the tolerance could mean that the studs are easily out by that much anyway.
Sorry mate but you've failed on the maths. It will try to ben each stud by 0.8mm, and even if it was the 0.4 you got in error, it is still a dumb idea. Plenty of people think that just because a wheel doesn't fit properly it doesn't really matter, but these people often get to have their say in court (which is a bit too late if they injured someone though!)
So what other cars DO have 4" pcd wheels. Minors, Spridgets, A35/A40, Triumph Herald range, Viva and Imps as far as I know - any others ? I heard a rumour long time ago that some Jap cars had 4" pcd wheels - true/false ?
False BMC most of the smaller 'Jap' cars, as you so elquently put it, are the metric 100mm PCD, the central hub hole is also important and I believe is smaller than the morris.
Dont worry ive changed my mind about using wheels with 100mm PCD
Im wondering what the offset on the standard wheels is? As Im looking to fit alloys, which will be wider, but I dont want them sticking out of the wheelarch. But I want to use deepdish minilites, so Im a bit screwed Any ideas?
