Now on the road

Post by ade261 »

After more years than I will admit, I finally have a morris that is legal to drive on the road.
It's a 1968 two door in trafalger blue, have given it quite a refurb, all welding done, 4 new steel wings, engine rebuild, new shells, rings, oil pump, water pump, electronic dizzy, duplex timing chain, alternator conversion.

Replaced all window and door seals, resprayed it, not my best work.

Passed M.O.T. without advisories last week and I have been driving it with quite a smile on my face.

Interior bit tatty, am in process of making my own headlining and attempting to recover the front seats.

I attached photos and hope it looks ok.[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Have just noticed that one of my indicator lens has come off, must have been there for mot, I believe this is what's known as "teething trouble" does anyone knows they can be purchased separately or will I have to buy the full unit?

Hi,
Paint looks okay to me. Unless you want concourse I wouldn't worry. As has been said, it's good to hear of another ploughing the Queen's highway. :P
Just don't let BMC spot those headlamp peaks...................
Best wishes,
Mike.

1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......
