On the subject of period accessories, the absolute worst ones I have seen are some tacky, flimsy green plastic 'ears' that clip with sharp metal clips to the Minor doorframe, ensuring all paint (and skin on fingers when fitting) is damaged, and also ensure that wind noise is kept to an absolute maximum (despite what the packet said)...
I had the misfortune of fitting some (not to my own Minor I hasten to add!) and I've never seen a more depressed and ridiculous looking Minor in my life. Looked like Dumbo after a dose of plastic surgery...
