Torrents are an excellent way to lay your system open to exploits, hackers, password stealers and virii(is that the correct plural?).

Roy have you looked at XBMC?Its a free download and can go on your pc,mac, tablet etc?Basically it streams what you want(inc the latest movies)to your machine.A bit up and down regarding consistency but it works fine.It started off as a linux based development of a media player to use on the xbox(hence the name) but has grown enormously. You can buy dedicated boxes from £30 up off ebay etc but theyre basically just a box running an xbmc version of linux/android set up to stream so no need to get one unless you dont want to tie your computer up.Here are many examples:

Bought my 87 year old dad a years subscription to netflix. He absolutely loves it!!!Still going through grief with his ISP at the moment though. All works fine in the morning but as the day progresses it starts lagging/constantly buffering.Basically its a contention issue. When America gets out of bed and using the internet the system starts to sloooooooow down! He's on standard ADSL and wired, not wireless. Its looking as if hes gonna have to change ISP(plusnet) or go to a fibre connection. No complaints about the netflix content though!

I just need to find a way to connect my laptop to the big TV now..... But how does 'afdah.com' do it ?? All these films - even some yet to be issued (ie 'Unbroken') - all free and no adverts that I have seen !
