Devon and Cornwall area
Now that I am getting close to getting my car back on the road, just wondered if there were any local members who post on
here?
here?
Old car owners don't die......they just rust away
Re: Devon and Cornwall area
It seem that the South West is very quite on the activity front. I was planning on going to the Devon Branch Rally at Exmouth this year but I was away on holiday so I didn't get there. I tend to go on the LCV Forum as I have a van and pickup.

There are several Minors around the Torquay area and a few in N. Devon. Contact the Devon branch
Cornwall is an independent club and not part of the MMOC

Re: Devon and Cornwall area
As of tomorrow I will be a Morris Minor owner so, if you happen to be in the Torbay area, you might see a very smart Dove Grey moggie pootling around! The Devon Branch meets monthly in Exeter. Their contact details are somewhere on this forum, I think.

Exmouth show Sunday 17th August 2014
Hi, I am new to the MMOC and based in Paignton. I have just got my first Morris Minor a Morris Minor 1000 1968. He will need some TLC but I love him already, it was an early 40th birthday present from my husband, something I have always wanted. I am eager to meet up with any other local enthusiasts and saw in the Herald Express the MMOC show in Exmouth on Sunday. Are there any ride outs to it from Torbay??
We are looking forward to meeting other enthusiasts. Any recommendations on any other good shows would be great, I think we are also going to the American and classic car show on Plymouth Hoe on the 31st August.[frame][/frame][frame][/frame]

Re: Devon and Cornwall area
Hi All,
Thought I would use this discussion thread to say hi and to invite any comers to a round Cornwall trip starting from Launceston on Friday 5th June at 8.30. The intention is to drive in my 1958 Minor down to Lands End hugging the North Coast all the way, then return along the South coast to Looe and then back across the Starting point.
If you would like more info, see my post in Events regarding Round Cornwall trip or PM me. Would be fun to have a little convoy if anyone is free and mad enough! We estimate it will take about 6 hours driving, plus stop time along the way wherever something interesting comes up!
If you spot us on the day, give us a wave and a toot!
Cheers,
David

Re: Devon and Cornwall area
Gloucestershire is probably the worst area for Minor's - probably only 8, and 4 of those are Morris
1100's!
1100's!
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

Re: Devon and Cornwall area
Hello! We have just bought our first Morris, a 1966 convertible. We're based near Axminster, in East Devon. If anyone is nearby, or if there are any meets planned, I'm sure we'd love to join!

Not a million miles from me - I moved from Oxon last year and am now in deepest darkest Dartmoor. If you ever spot a Highway Yellow saloon (it's hard to miss if you do happen to see it), it's quite likely it's me or my wife!

Never been to Devon Branch meets but met a couple at the Powderham Castle show 2 yrs ago....not very active & non of them seem to use computers! Nothing ever on this forum & no own site!
I believe the meets used to be at the Cowick Barton pub in Exeter.
When is the Exmouth meet this year?
Is anyone going the Killerton House show this Sunday?
Andy.
