Mg metro manifold

Post by les »

Bought a manifold on ebay, unfortunately must have slipped the sellers mind to mention it had some stripped threads. The 4 studs are/were 5/16'' thought they were 3/8'' on these manifolds? if so I can re tap the threads, the union thread on top has also disappeared, not quite as easy to deal with.

I haven't, suppose I could take some but the query is only whether the 4 studs for the carb were originally 5/16 or 3/8 diameter. I'm sure the standard Minor manifold to carb fixings were the latter.

They should be 3/8" UNC But frankly you can make them whatever you like ! 10mm would work I guess.

Wanted to be sure 3/8'' studs would pass through the holes in the carb flange. Thanks.
