Front suspension damper oil....will this do?

Post by mattinhertford »

Hi all,

I ordered some front suspension damper oil from Bull Motif this week, and they sent me a bottle if Granvil Jack Oil....for car trolley jacks....will it do? I can see the connection but wanted to check before I top up this weekend.

Thanks

Jack oil is around the equivalent of SAE20 oil, you can use it but will get a firmer ride if you use SAE40. You can get SAE40 from machine Mart or you could be lucky and your local garden center may stock it for lawn mowers.

Send it back -it's far too thin and the price is crazy..... As above - SAE 40 oil is ideal, SAE 50 if you can find it. And that's NOT 10W40 or 20W50.........
