Where do these fit?

Post by tysonn »

Only place I can think of to be "front wing to valance"is in the gap between the bottom front edge of the wing where it sits above the valance?Never seen them on previous cars I've had:

Is this the correct location?
Thanks

Mick, they fit where the edge of the bonnet meets the valance, (where the motif is for the Minor 1000 badge). I would imagine they are there to stop the edge of the bonnet being inadvertently pushed into the valance, a bit like a bump stop.

hello,
yes, the ESM description is correct for where each of them go.
The first buffer goes between the bottom of the wing and the bumper valance. As you say, some cars don't have them, some have 1 each side and others have 2 each side. I've got 2 each side mainly because the wings I fitted many years ago had 2 holes ready drilled and it seemed a shame not to use them. :)
The other buffer goes under the rear edge of the bonnet and there's one each side of that one.
Cheers, Colin.

The idea is good as the body panels are pretty close there. As I dont have pre drilled holes and dont want to drill any I'll just use self adhesive rubber feet as usual.
